A few words about Isabel Conway
Isabel Conway is Ireland’s current Travel Writer of the Year (awarded in January 2016) winning the title for the second time in four years. She is also Travel Extra Travel Writer of the Year ’Long haul’ category winner for the second time. In November 2015 she won the prestigious British Guild of Travel Writers award for the Best European Feature (over 850 words) for an off the beaten track article on Puglia’s grape harvest published in the Sunday Business Post Dublin.
A frequent recipient of travel writer awards over the years Isabel contributes to the travel pages of the Irish Examiner, Sunday Business Post, Mail on Sunday Ireland, Sunday World, Evening Echo, Cork and the Saturday travel section of the Irish Independent (print and online) She has written for many UK and other Irish publications including Associated Newspapers London, News International, People magazine New York, the Irish Times and consumer and trade magazines in a career as a news reporter and feature writer spanning three decades. She is a member of the British Guild of Travel Writers and the National Union of Journalists and is based in Kinsale Co Cork, Ireland.
